A CASE OF VON HIPPEL-LINDAU¢¥S DISEASE

Abstract
A case of von Hippel-Lindau¢¥s disease is presented in which a solid cerebellar hemangioblastoma. was associated with angiomas in the retinal vessels. The patient was the 31 year old Korean man who had complained of increasing headache, blurred vision, and vomiting during a month before the admission. Papilledema and a few of mulbery like small vascular nodules in both retinae were seen, and left sided mild dysmetria, nystagmus and some what irritable mentality were noted.
The hemangioblastoma which situated between the vermis and the left cerebellar hemisphere was surgically extirpated without difficulties. The vertebral angiography, in comparision with the conray ventriculography, permitted more accurate diagnosis of this type of lesion.
